Self-defense

The fight you avoid is the fight you win

Military self-defense starts with awareness, not with strikes. Who is here, what is normal for this place, and what has just changed? Those three questions do more work than any technique taught in a weekend seminar.

From there, the physical layer stays deliberately small: distance management, framing, an escape from a grab, and the ability to get off the ground. Everything is chosen because it survives panic, bad footing and a legal review afterwards.

What this section covers

  • Run a three-second baseline check when you enter any space
  • Verbal boundaries and a flat, loud voice end most confrontations
  • Distance control is a skill you can practise daily
  • Train escapes rather than submissions
  • Know the legal consequences of force before you need them
